Meet Dr. Lau

Dr. Kristal Lau is the author of 'Postpartum 30', a Physician-turned-Postpartum Wellness Consultant, and a mother of 2. She is guided by her motto, "Well-Supported Mothers and Families Strengthens Organizations and Nations".

Her career pivot from clinical medicine into postpartum and maternal wellness was born from the challenges she experienced as a foreign-born U.S. military spouse navigating postpartum and motherhood while raising her children far away from family and friends.

Dr. Lau brings over 10 years of combined experience and knowledge in clinical medicine, scientific research, and public health, including her experience as an entrepreneur. She's lived in 4 different continents to date; Asia, Australia, North America, and Europe. She's also a Certified European Lifestyle Medicine Health Advisor.

While living at a duty station in Germany, she actively volunteered within the Army community and her husband’s unit’s Soldier and Family Readiness Group. She also served expecting and new parents by hosting a birth story support group and postpartum workshops. She continues to advocate for improved perinatal care and better military spouse and family support through her duty station’s Family Social Working Group and the Army Family Action Plan program.

Outside of serving MBRNPC, Dr. Lau runs her consulting and coaching company, Bridges In Health, specializing in bridging traditional and cultural practices with modern postpartum care.

Dr. Lau currently resides in Europe. When she's not working, she can be found escaping from escape rooms with her friends and family or indulging in horror movies and shows.
