We are happy to provide listings for your community.  The birth professionals listed have endorsed the Military Birth Resource Network's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and where applicable they have a base license. These professionals endorse our goal to make a positive difference for pregnant women, new mothers, and their families through education, nurturing, and advocacy while fostering respect, knowledge, and integrity among professionals everywhere.

Find  a birth or postpartum doula. There are a range of levels of experience for doulas from the newly trained doula to a doula with many years experience.  There are a range of "well seasoned" to "brand new" doulas to fit your needs. Doulas listed on our website do not work for MBRN or the Local Chapter.  We support a mother's right to choose the type of birth that is right for her - un-medicated, medicated, cesarean, VBAC, home birth, hospital birth, or birth center birth.  Every woman will choose birth practices that she feels is right for her and regardless of those choices, our goal is to support her during this incredibly important time.  There are variations in philosophies and practices in the professionals listed in our member guide.  The doulas within our network are trained by a national or internationally recognized organization.  It is the responsibility of each consumer to verify the credentials of each professional.  MBRN encourages consumers to interview professionals to determine which professional is the right person for their needs.  Some doulas may provide volunteer services while others will charge a fee for service, MBRN does not regulate a doulas' fee but the network does encourage doulas participating in this program to consider each families' situation and circumstances.

{Birth & Postpartum Doula}

I’m a mother of 3 and I’ve been married for almost 15 years now. For the last 11 years I have been in the teaching field for children from ages Infant to Kinder. I received my ECE credential at Coastal Carolina Community College in 2008. I am currently a CD, PCD, with (Madriella). My heart and passion for becoming a doula came from a ministry the Lord placed in my heart called Mom to Mom. In this Ministry I prepared home cooked meals and offered a free two hour home cleaning services for mothers who suffered with PPD, anxiety, and depression. I provided these services for over a year on the islands of Okinawa. It was through this that I decided that becoming a birth and postpartum Doula was a calling I had to answer.

As a Doula it’s my hearts desire to stand along with mothers during and after the most important times of their lives. I want my future clients to know that she CAN and I will be there every step of the way comforting her, supporting her, and providing the education she needs to birth the way she wants. Supporting military spouses and mother of all kinds before, during, and after labor is my passion.

Hello, my name is Tess, I am a mom to seven children, and I understand how important it is to have support and guidance during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. My hope is to provide these things to each mother that I work with, especially those stationed overseas who may not have family or close friends nearby for support. I hope to be able to provide some of those things, and fill in some gaps for families who are far from home. I have supported families who are welcoming their first baby up to families who were welcoming their seventh baby. It is never too early, or too late to start working with a Doula. I have been involved in birth and lactation work for over 22 years. I offer Birth Doula services as well as postpartum and lactation help. Please feel free to contact me and we can talk about what your goals and needs are. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, my name is Mareike “mo” O'Neil. Originally hailing from Germany, I am married to my husband who has been a marine for over 26 years. We have three children and have been in Okinawa since 2014. I had my first daughter on Camp Pendleton. After we moved to Okinawa, I had a twin miscarriage. About a year later, my rainbow baby twins were born via c-section.

 I feel very blessed to share my knowledge and experience with you on your own journey.  My main focus will be on empowering your partner and you to create the experience you would love for your birth- no matter the circumstances or hurdles. I am looking forward to supporting you with calm assertiveness and comfort measures.  If your partner will be away for the birth, I strive to help to be that partner for you and can accompany you to your prenatal appointments as well.

It is never too late to get a doula! If I am available, I can join you even if you wait till the day of your birth to contact me.  But the more planning we can do together, the better you will feel prepared for your big day :)

Some of my specializations besides being a birth doula include postpartum, multiples and bereavement.  Please check out my website www.BirthPartnerServices.com or contact me at 080-3551-5879 for any questions or to set up a meeting.

I offer birthlight yoga classes for prenatal, postpartum and Baby&Me Yoga (Dads encouraged to attend, too).

I can't wait to meet you, your partner and your newest addition to your family. :)

Aside from the distinguished honor of serving as a doula, I am a mom to three busy boys, one adorable daughter and wife to an amazing husband.  They fill my days with constant energy!  I became interested in doula work after the birth of our first son.

I attended my first DONA doula training in 2009 and became a certified doula with both DONA and Hypnobabies in 2012.  After experiencing the benefits of placenta encapsulation first hand I became a certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist in 2016.

My goal as a doula is to help women achieve the birth they want!  You will remember the birth of your children for the rest of your life and I sincerely want you to have positive memories of this amazing occasion.  I will strive to help your husband or birth partner be as involved as they want to be.  Often they provide the best support, but just need some a nudge in the right direction or a few fresh ideas on how to help.  Together we make an amazing team, giving you, the laboring mom, all the support you need.  A woman in labor can never have too much support!

Please visit my website to learn more about my services.
