We are happy to provide listings for your community.  The birth professionals listed have endorsed the Military Birth Resource Network's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and where applicable they have a base license. These professionals endorse our goal to make a positive difference for pregnant women, new mothers, and their families through education, nurturing, and advocacy while fostering respect, knowledge, and integrity among professionals everywhere.

Find  a birth or postpartum doula. There are a range of levels of experience for doulas from the newly trained doula to a doula with many years experience.  Doulas listed on our website do not work for MBRN or the local chapter. There are a range of "well seasoned" to "brand new" doulas to fit your needs. Doulas listed on our website do not work for MBRN or the Local Chapter.  We support a mother's right to choose the type of birth that is right for her - un-medicated, medicated, cesarean, VBAC, home birth, hospital birth, or birth center birth.  Every woman will choose birth practices that she feels is right for her and regardless of those choices, our goal is to support her during this incredibly important time.  There are variations in philosophies and practices in the professionals listed in our member guide.  The doulas within our network are trained by a national or internationally recognized organization.  It is the responsibility of each consumer to verify the credentials of each professional.  MBRN encourages consumers to interview professionals to determine which professional is the right person for their needs.  Some doulas may provide volunteer services while others will charge a fee for service, MBRN does not regulate a doulas' fee but the network does encourage doulas participating in this program to consider each families' situation and circumstances.

Hayley Kava has been a Physical Therapist since 2013 when she graduated from the University of Western Ontario (Canada). In 2015 Hayley moved to North Carolina and shortly after began working with Sandhills Sports Performance.

Her clinical experience prior joining SSP was orthopaedics, sports medicine, varsity athletics, and working with military athletes. Since joining SSP and progressing and learning the science of postural restoration, Hayley has grown to love treating all types of patients including complex pain conditions, neurological conditions, pelvic floor dysfunction in clients of all ages and functional levels. She has expanded her knowledge base to include a foundation of postural restoration also with continued education in soft tissue release, spinal manipulation, dry needling certification, as well as now pelvic floor physical therapy.

Hayley’s practice has continuously evolved with her own life experiences. Understanding pain and dysfunction in her own body has made her all the more passionate about helping others continue to do all the activities they love.

It really was in this transition through pregnancy and the post-partum period that opened her eyes up to the complex needs of women and the need to open up the conversation for women to know that many of the “common” issues we all face like are not “normal” and we do not have to live with sub-optimal function or miss out on any lifeexperiences due to dysfunction.

Hayley is excited to be able to begin to work with women who are experiencing urinary, bowel, and or sexual dysfunction as well as pelvic pain. Whether you have never had a child, are thinking about children, pregnant, immediately post-partum or your babies are grown up pelvic floor physical therapy may be for you.

Hello! My name is Genevieve.

I was inspired to become a birth doula after working at a maternity clinic in West Africa. It was there that I learned how much I enjoyed supporting parents and their newborns. After moving back to the States, I completed my doula training through Doulas of North America (DONA) and moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina with my husband, who is in military service.

I believe women have the right to a birth experience that is empowering and positive, regardless of circumstance.  Whether you are planning on giving birth in a birth center or a hospital, with a midwife or an obstetrician, I can help provide the support you need.

Prices start at $500.

Natasha B. CD/PCD(DONA),CLC,RYT216

{Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, Pre & Postnatal Yoga Instructor}

Website: Earthbound Doulas

Phone: 910-722-9138

Email: Earthbound.doulas@gmail.com

Natasha first began her journey as a nurse and the passion to be a midwife was something that she wanted to finish eventually down the road. She had to put her career on the back burner as most military wives do, but felt like becoming a doula was just one more thing to help her prepare for women’s health and wellness. She is a mother of 3 children and has gone through many trials and tribulations as a military spouse. She is very connected in knowing exactly what sacrificing means, what it feels like to lose your identity after marrying a soldier, missing old friends, family, feeling alone, disconnected and depressed.

She knew that becoming a doula could be so beneficial to serving her community and for the last decade she has taken pride in doing just that! In Spring of 2016 she decided to open Earthbound, a one stop shop baby planning service geared toward mom & babies. Natasha knows and can relate on what military families face, how deployments feel and look like and the struggles of single motherhood.

Natasha is committed to pave a path and reach a positive birth resource network within her military installation and has helped open the Fort Bragg MBRN Chapter.
